About

Hi, my name is Julie Mills, CDT, MBA and the owner of All Tails Waggin' LLC.  I am a graduate of Catch Dog Trainer's Master Class with the title of Certified Dog Trainer (CDT), I am a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and a Canine Good Citizenship Evaluator through the AKC.  All of my life I have had a passion for working with animals and have been doing so since before I can remember.  This love of working with animals continued to grow over the years, and it has become a life endeavor to improve the well-being of animals and their owners.  My husband and I currently live in Kendall, NY on 8 acres of farm land, Tiny Dream Farms, with our 2 dogs, 2 cats, chickens, ducks, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, and turkeys.  On top of my love of working with animals, I truly enjoy working with people too.  It makes my heart happy to be able to help others, especially when I see that look in your eye when the training starts to click between you and your pet.

Here at All Tails Waggin' I work with pet owners (primarily dogs and puppy) in their own home to teach them how to train their own pet in order to obtain the good manners needed to be the best family member they can be.  I purposely do not do board and train because of the old adage, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”  In the end, I eventually want you to be able to learn the tips and tricks on how to work with your own pet and feel confident doing so.  I believe it helps you to further develop your relationship this way.  Don't worry though, I'm here to support you  all along the way. Every person and animal is different.  It is my job to find the training techniques which work best for you and your best friend.

For those with hectic schedules who can use a little extra assistance in the training process, I also offer "Walk & Train" services.  It's a great way to supplement your own training endeavors (no, this doesn't get you off the hook of putting in your own training time) but it can definitely speed up the training process, as well as give your pup some much needed positive mental stimulation and exercise during the middle of the day.

Last but not least, I wanted to find a way to incorporate my love of baking, and what is dog training without treats?  The online Barkery is anticipated to open April 2022, so be sure to check out the Barkery page.

I can't wait to meet you and your pet soon, so be sure to reach out so we can further discuss your situation and needs.

Meet The Team

Julie Mills

Owner & operator of All Tails Waggin' LLC.  Shares her happy home with her patient husband (who is a beekeeper on the side), Freya, Bailey, two cats, a herd of mischievous Nigerian Dwarf goats, numerous chicken, ducks, and a few turkeys.

Freya Picture

Freya

Freya is our COVID baby & one of the newer additions to the team.  She is also my demo dog in training.  She is a year old Dalmatian and still a puppy to the max with an energy level which rarely quits.  There isn't a person she hasn't wanted to be her friend and hopefully within the year she will earn the title of full fledge demo dog.

Bailey Picture

Bailey

Bailey is the newest team member.  It was a little ironic getting an Aussie with the name All Tails Waggin' but his little stump does wag a lot so he is still a wonderful ambassador.  He was born a year and a week after Freya and joined the family in November 2021.  Where Freya is a bit of a daddy's girl, Bailey is a mommy's boy all the way.  I can't wait to see all we can accomplish together in the years to come.

Kelsey Picture

Kelsey

- in loving memory

Kelsey graced our lives for over 16 years and is the face of All Tails Waggin'.  She was my massage demo dog, training demo dog & inspiration for getting involved in dog training.  Proof that with persistence & patience most any dog can be trained to be a family companion who you enjoy sharing your life with.  She was adopted through Dalmatian Rescue.

Bolt picture

- in loving memory

2021 was a rough year because 4 months after loosing Kelsey, we lost Bolt at the age of 12 years old to kidney disease.  Bolt was also my demo dog and performed his duty with gusto until loosing his eyesight to glaucoma in 2020.  He too came from a rescue and has taught me many lessons over the year, making me a better dog trainer in the process.
